The inspiration for the Alphabet series came from comment that some of my Hero prints resembled letter shapes. The project made sense due to my involvement with education and out of my own love of word play. I felt I was tapping into a very familiar and accessible visual formula of great potential. Letters are gateway tool and culturally common denominator to everyone. They connect us to our childhood as well as define most of our endeavors. In essence my project was celebratory as well as territorial in that it was my turn to create the wheel again. Many viewers like to see these letters as words of their own, an inclination I encourage.
